“Big Dance Brazil”: Brazilian Flash Mob with Carlinhos de Jesus

The Ministry of Culture and Funarte (National Foundation of Art) will hold the “Big Dance Brazil” event this Sunday, 15 June 2014 11:00 am, at Parque Madureira in Rio de Janeiro to show to the world the diversity of Brazilian culture. Led by choreographer Carlinhos de Jesus, “Big Dance Brazil” (“Grande Dança Brasil”) is a project that brings together people of all ages and social classes for a flash mob.
Between 11 June and 13 July, “Big Dance Brazil” flash mobs will take place in all 12 host cities of the World Cup. In total, 48 flash mobs will take place, three of which occur in Rio de Janeiro. The Rio performances begin this Sunday at the Parque Madureira; a second event will take place on 25 June at the Praça XV, and the final event will be at the end of the World Cup, on 13 July at Parque Madureira.
”Big Dance Brazil” flash mobs have already taken place in Brasilia (DF) and Natal (RN). Anyone can learn the choreography via a video tutorial available at http://grandedancabrasil.cultura.gov.br/.
