Open Media Centre website provides content, agendas and key contacts to assist journalists covering the World Cup
Press release
Journalists seeking official information, news stories and useful contacts during the World Cup can find it all at Open Media Centre website, a service provided by Brazilian federal government. The website also allows journalists to register for accreditation to use Open Media Centre venue facilities in Rio de Janeiro.
Available in Portuguese and English, the Open Media Centre website offers press releases, summaries of press briefings with government authorities and local panel discussions, as well as weekly agendas of Open Media Centre events in each World Cup host city. International journalists may also download official guides such as the Journalist Guide to the World Cup and What You Need to Know About the FIFA 2014 World Cup.
Suggestions for additional news ideas and storylines can be also found here on the World Cup Portal website. Official pictures and high-resolution videos of diverse scenes of the 2014 World Cup host cities are available, free of charge, at Brasil 2014 Stock Images.
