Brazil's Sports Minister, Aldo Rebelo, and Secretary of State for culture, Olympics, Media and Sports of the United Kingdom, Jeremy Hunt, decided last Sunday during a meeting in London, to increase mutual cooperation, along with exchange of knowledge and technical experience in sports, with particular attention to those competitions involving young athletes.

The two Governments will work for the establishment of a group for exchange of experience and information on sports, including the organization of major sporting events in the United Kingdom and Brazil.

The Minister of Sports in Brazil highlighted the importance of the partnership: "we are here to strengthen the sports cooperation between Brazil and United Kingdom and work for the success of the Olympic and Paralympic Games in London this year, followed by Rio de Janeiro in 2016.
