UN wants internet users to participate in today's Rio+20 campaign

31/05/2012 05:15 - Portal Brasil

The United Nations (UN) is encouraging Internet users to participate in a campaign on Rio+20. The idea is to involve the population in the discussions at the UN Conference on Sustainable Development taking place in Rio between June 13 and 22, in order to ensure more concrete results from the event.

The UN is requesting Internet users to use social networks such as Twitter and Facebook to spread conference messages. On Twitter, users can send messages to the UN using the keywords #RioMais20, #FutureWeWant and #eusounos. The best messages will be published by the United Nations.

On Facebook, it is hoped that Internet users share videos and photos on the campaign at the site (http://on.fb.me/MUdqsj). The campaign will also be conveyed by Google+ (http://gplus.to/ONUBrasil) and YouTube (http://www.youtube.com/unicrio).
