Registration for courses in tourism and services for the World Cup is now open

Registration for the 40,000 vacancies on 32 courses commenced this Tuesday, June 26 for free training and qualification in tourism and services for the 2014 World Cup. The courses, including languages (English, Spanish and sign language), are available in the 12 World Cup host cities and 117 Municipalities. Applicants must be over 18 years of age.
The courses will last for four months. Students will receive assistance with food and transport. Priority will be given in the first instance to courses for those interested who are located in 2013 Confederations Cup host cities (Brasilia, Fortaleza, Rio de Janeiro, Belo Horizonte, Recife and Salvador).
In total the National Program for Access to Technical Education and Employment (Pronatec) should provide 240,000 vacancies - 40,000 per semester - through the National Commerce Training Service (SENAC), Commerce Social Services (SESC), Industrial Social Services (SESI) and the National Industrial Training Service (SENAI).
"By the time of the World Cup we will offer 240,000 places in 30 areas related to tourism. These are courses for travel agents, hotel maids, waiters, event receptionists and several other professions related to the area of tourism", said President DilmaRousseff on the radio program ‘Coffee with the President’ aired last Monday (25th).
